Review - Runaway Train by Lee Matthew Goldberg

Do not sit on this book or you will be sorely missing out!

This is a heart-wrenching story about a 16 year old "Nico" who lost her sister to an aneurysm and fears that she will follow the same fate. Nico strongly believes that she has very little time to live and has a bucket list that she wants to complete not only for herself but also for all the things her sister Kristyn never had the chance to do.

This story will make you laugh, cry and fill you with warmth. One of my favourite quotes is that "sometimes you have to hit rock bottom in order to find your way back up". This story really relays that message to you and leaves you hopeful for Nico and for her future.

Further to this I absolutely love all the music reference to all the early 90's music such as Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and Pearl Jam. I adored how each chapter is named after a song and really made me want to make a mixtape solely from this book!

A massive well done to Lee Matthew Goldberg for writing this fantastic book!
